A couple of years ago I was asked to speak at Business City SWAP, in Sydney Australia. This is a group of people that get together and swap (share) ideas about success, personal development and motivation.
I spoke for about 35 minutes ... I thought you might like to listen in as I share The Secrets To Wealth Creation.

Changing The World ... One Person At A Time
It is so easy to fall into the trap of thinking that people understand what we know! I certainly am guilty of that ...
I was sitting in the Coffee Club in Ringwood enjoying a latte with my good friends Pastors John & Eileen Brown ... I met John & Eileen through The Secret somehow (sitting in the Coffee Club one morning) and found out that they have been sharing the message of Abundance and Law Of Attraction at their Word Family Church of many years - same message, based on the Bible and God as it's foundation (which I believe it must be).
As we were sitting there chatting, a couple in there late 50's walked up and said 'hello' ... they were friends of John and Eileen's and hadn't seen them for some time. We got talking and the lady (Sonia I think!) started to share her vision she had just received - to teach personal development in schools, churches and the community.
Of course I assumed Sonia had read personal development books or had been to seminars, and I was sure that if she was into personal development she would have seen The Secret ... so I asked! To my amazement Sonia hadn't even heard of The Secret.
So I asked if she knew some of the great personal development Techers ... I rattled off some of the people who had changed my life ... Zig Ziglar, James Rohn, Tony Robbins, Bob Proctor, Denis Waitley etc. Guess what? Sonia hadn't heard of any of these people.
It reminded me of just how much work there is left to do. Sometimes I'm in awe of the millions of people who have watced The Secret, the people who stop me in the middle of the street to say "thank you" (and "Don't let those negative bastards get to you"), those who have attended our seminars, the emails and letters we get just saying "You have changed my life, keep doing what you are doing" ... then I realise maybe 10-20 million people have seen The Secret around the world ... out of 6 billion!!!!
Eileen shared on Sunday that we change the world one person at a time ... that is so true!
Yes, we have much to do.

Whose Life Have You Touched Today?
The Old Phone
"When I was quite young, my father had one of the first telephones in our neighbourhood. I remember the polished, old case fastened to the wall. The shiny receiver hung on the side of the box. I was too little to reach the telephone, but used to listen with fascination when my mother talked to it.
Then I discovered that somewhere inside the wonderful device lived an amazing person. Her name was "Information Please" and there was nothing she did not know. Information Please could supply anyone's number and the correct time.
My personal experience with the genie-in-a-bottle came one day while my mother was visiting a neighbour. Amusing myself at the tool bench in the basement, I whacked my finger with a hammer, the pain was terrible, but there seemed no point in crying because there was no one home to give sympathy.
I walked around the house sucking my throbbing finger, finally arriving at the stairway. The telephone! Quickly, I ran for the footstool in the parlour and dragged it to the landing. Climbing up, I unhooked the receiver in the parlour and held it to my ear. "Information, please" I said into the mouthpiece just above my head.
A click or two and a small clear voice spoke into my ear. "Information."
"I hurt my finger...." I wailed into the phone, the tears came readily enough now that I had an audience.
"Isn't your mother home?" came the question.
"Nobody's home but me," I blubbered.
"Are you bleeding?" the voice asked.
"No," I replied. "I hit my finger with the hammer and it hurts."
"Can you open the icebox?" she asked.
I said I could.
"Then chip off a little bit of ice and hold it to your finger," said the voice.
After that, I called "Information Please" for everything. I asked her for help with my geography, and she told me where Philadelphia was. She helped me with my math. She told me my pet chipmunk that I had caught in the park just the day before, would eat fruit and nuts.
Then, there was the time Petey, our pet canary, died. I called, "Information Please," and told her the sad story. She listened, and then said things grown-ups say to soothe a child. But I was not consoled.
I asked her, "Why is it that birds should sing so beautifully and bring joy to all families, only to end up as a heap of feathers on the bottom of a cage?"
She must have sensed my deep concern, for she said quietly, "Wayne always remember that there are other worlds to sing in."
Somehow I felt better.
Another day I was on the telephone, "Information Please."
"Information," said in the now familiar voice.
"How do I spell fix?" I asked.
All this took place in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. When I was nine years old, we moved across the country to Boston. I missed my friend very much. "Information Please" belonged in that old wooden box back home and I somehow never thought of trying the shiny new phone that sat on the table in the hall. As I grew into my teens, the memories of those childhood conversations never really left me.
Often, in moments of doubt and perplexity I would recall the serene sense of security I had then. I appreciated now how patient, understanding, and kind she was to have spent her time on a little boy.
A few years later, on my way west to college, my plane put down in Seattle. I had about a half-hour or so between planes. I spent 15 minutes or so on the phone with my sister, who lived there now. Then without thinking what I was doing, I dialled my hometown Operator and said, "Information Please."
Miraculously, I heard the small, clear voice I knew so well. "Information."
I hadn't planned this, but I heard myself saying, "Could you please tell me how to spell fix?"
There was a long pause. Then came the soft spoken answer, "I guess your finger must have healed by now."
I laughed, "So it's really you," I said. "I wonder if you have any idea how much you meant to me during that time?"
"I wonder," she said, "if you know how much your calls meant to me. I never had any children and I used to look forward to your calls."
I told her how often I had thought of her over the years and I asked if I could call her again when I came back to visit my sister.
"Please do", she said. "Just ask for Sally."
Three months later I was back in Seattle. A different voice answered "Information." I asked for Sally.
"Are you a friend?" she said.
"Yes, a very old friend," I answered.
"I'm sorry to have to tell you this," she said. "Sally had been working part-time the last few years because she was sick. She died five weeks ago."
Before I could hang up she said, "Wait a minute, did you say your name was Wayne?"
"Yes" I answered.
"Well, Sally left a message for you. She wrote it down in case you called. Let me read it to you."
The note said, "Tell him there are other worlds to sing in. He'll know what I mean."
I thanked her and hung up. I knew what Sally meant."
The above story is one you may have seen before - I do not know the original author. It was sent to me and I got teary as I read it. Quite a few lessons in Wayne's story.

Desire & Need
The question I get asked most often is "What is the one thing I have to do to be successful that would make the biggest difference in my life?"
When I ask that question in my seminars people guess all sorts of things like goals, affirmations, focus, work, belief, law of attraction etc. What do you think it is?
I asked Bob Proctor the same question in January 2006 as I was putting together "The Secret To Wealth: Mind & Money Strategies" seminar that I invited him to be a guest presenter at. Bob said exactly the same thing I had been teaching people for years:
The most important action that anyone can do is "DECIDE" ... decide exactly what it is you want. Not what you think you can have or get, not what you can afford or do now, but rather what it is that you truely desire with all your heart and soul. What you would have, do an be if you had a magic wand just for yourself! That might sound crazy, but the fact is that most people don't know what it is they want. The truth is that once you decide your life and the universe start to change! I don't have the time and space to write all the reasons and effects here ... but I will cover some of them in time. To say it simply. The Power works in and through you and can only deliver according to the image you hold!
Get hold of my first "How To Apply The Secret Step-by-Step" DVD & CD series which covers DESIRE & NEED ... and tells you how to find out what is your true desire. This is a series of steps I have put together to help people get massive results from The Secret.

The Secret & Christians
This may be somewhat contraversial ... however I think it needs to be discussed.
The Secret DVD & Book has done amazing things to lift the awareness of the world in regards to the one of the laws of the universe - the Law of Attraction. I am proud to be part of such awakening and heightened awareness.
The Secret has been put down by many Christians as "New Age" thinking; by others it has been heralded as a major breakthrough that God really does desire abundance for His children. Who is right and who is wrong? Is The Secret really the work of Satan?
When The Secret first came out a devout 'born again' Christian and friend of mine called me up quite concerned. He wanted to know my view on The Secret and where it fits into God's word. I will share with you what I told him ... now understand that I'm by no means an expert on the Bible and interpretation ... I have been reading and studying it on and off for as long as I could read (I'm 44 now!) I still get excited by its message - one thing I am certain of is that EVERYTHING we need to know about how to live and how to think is in the Bible. I can not comment on other spiritual writings or beliefs because I have not studied them.
To understand my viewpoint on The Secret and Christians I will take you back to how The Secret was created.
Some 57 people in Australia and United States were filmed by the producer Rhonda Byrne and her production crew. None of what any Teacher said on The Secret was scripted. We were all asked a few questions separately. Most Teachers were in separate locations around the world. No-one knew what others had said, and many of The Teachers did not know the other Teachers before The Secret came out. None of us were told really what the DVD was going to be about expect that it was the Law of Attraction. No-one knew who was going to end up being on the final cut until after it was completed. There ended up being 24 Teachers from the initial 57 (my figures are approximate), and I am extremely grateful for my small involvement.
Back to the topic ... I believe that the greatest danger when some people watch The Secret is that they think that they are God, in other words they are the creator. The Secret does not go far enough with telling the viewer what or who is the power behind the creation process. Some people will say "I call the creative power the universe", or "I call the creative power universal consciousness" or "I call the power energy", well Christians call this creative, all knowing, always present, all powerful creative power God, Father, Elohim, Jehovah, Lord, Devine Being etc.
Now the Bible tells us in Genesis 1:26 that we are created in the image and likeness of God (our creator), meaning we are 'God like' but it NEVER says we are God. We have the power to co-create with God but not create alone.
Some people watch The Secret and then think all they have to do is visualise what they want and hum and money etc will fall out of the sky into their lap. The bad news is "It Doesn't!" The good news is by understanding, knowledge and ACTION it will. The Bible tells us that Faith without action is dead! (James 2:17)
There is so much more to write about this topic ... but I will leave these thoughts with you for now.

They have eyes but cannot see ...
Here is an email I received recently:
The message of hope and faith are forgotten tools in our society yet powerful awakeners to the spirit in times of need.
Albert Einstein said once......... "Great spirits always meet violent opposition from mediocre minds."
The spirit listens with both mind and heart, the assimilation of the two is called intuition. It is our deepest knowing, doing so allows us to recognize truth when we hear it. When doninated with mind only, people seek physical proof of everything and strive for control over everything.
Fear strikes hard at these people who are rudderless without their sensory being. How can they see intangible concepts? How can they feel safe when there are no guarantees? It is EGO
folly that plays the largest part in their lives and therefore it becomes essential to them that they are RIGHT.
WHO said it? "There are none so blind as those that cannot see?"
Keep going with the good work of empowering people with connection to their own spirits, it overcomes fear and seeks out action in otherwise frozen situations.
My hearty congratulations.
Sincerely,
Name Withheld

The Seven Major Negative Emotions (To be avoided)
I stumbled across someones blog today ... it was written about me and The Secret, and 4 nameless people made negative comments - all claiming to understand The Secret and live it in their lives.
Teachers down throughout all generations have warned us about gossip, hearsay, the naysayers, the muck rakers ... generally those who take delight in pulling their fellow man down. You see, in life some people only get up by pulling others down - they appear to get some satisifacton by seeing others fail rather then direct their energies into lifting up their fellow man.
My father, now in his 70's, spent his life working hard and earning a living off the land. He told us 7 kids that before we speak we should always ask ourselves 3 questions:
- Is it true? (not is it true because some else told me, that's gossip, but is it really true - if not, don't say it)
- Is it helpful? (If it is not helpful don't say it)
- Will it hurt them or someone else? (This is the hardest one for most people, if it will hurt someone don't say it. If it is about someone else and doesn't build them up, don't say it!!)
Wouldn't this world be a different and amazing place if each person asked those questions before they said or wrote something. We wouldn't have any of the negative crap on tv, radio, newspaper, internet ... we would all know a peace never before understood in this world.
Napoleon Hill said that there are 7 Major Negative emotions to be avoided at all costs. Positive and negative emotions cannot occupy the mind at the same time. And like attracts like - many people do not realise that as they project out negative stuff to others, that's ALL they can get back. It is also wonderful that as we project out positive emotions to other people, that is exactly what we get back to.
A perfect example is that a woman who worked for me recently got very bitter and angry because she was used to getting everything she wanted - this one time she never, so she told me that she would do everything she could to destroy me. Sadly, this woman has had 2 breast cancer scares within 12 months - those who seek to destroy, destroy themselves because that is the Law of Attraction!
Here are the 7 Major Negative Emotions to be avoided:
- Fear
- Jealousy
- Hatred
- Revenge
- Greed
- Superstition
- Anger
Hill went on to say, "The presence of a single negative in your conscious mind is sufficient to destroy all changes of constructive aid from your subconscious mind."

As A Man Thinketh
"You will be what you will be;
Let failure find its false content
In that poor world, 'enviroment,'
But spirit scorns it, and is free."
"It masters time, it conquers space;
It cows that boastful trickster, Chance,
And bids the tyrant Circumstance
Uncrown, and fill a servant's place."
"The human Will, that force unseen,
The offspring of a deathless Soul,
Can hew a way to any goal,
Though walls of granite intervene."
"Be not impatient in delay,
But wait as one who understands;
When spirit rises and commands,
The gods are ready to obey."

Faith
Bob Proctor said, “Comparatively few people today realise just how much faith in oneself has to do with achievement, because the great majority of people never seem to conceive of faith as being a genuine creative force. Yet the truth is that, not only is Faith a bonfide power, but it is the greatest one you will ever encounter. In fact, I would go as far as to say that whatever you accomplish in your lifetime, will be in direct proportion to the intensity and persistence of your faith.”
Matthew 17:20 And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you."
What is Faith?
“Faith is the ability to see the invisible – to believe in the incredible. That is what the masses think is impossible.” – Clarence Smithison
Heb 11: 1 "Now faith is a well-grounded assurance of that for which we hope, and a conviction of the reality of things which we do not see."
Napoleon Hill – “Faith is the head chemist of the mind, when faith is blended with thought; the subconscious mind instantly picks up the vibration, translates it into its spiritual equivalent and transmits it to Infinite Intelligence, as in the case of prayer.”
Faith is a state of mind that you develop at will.
How does one get or increase faith?
Faith is a state of mind which may be induced, or created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious mind, through the principle of auto-suggestion.
Both poverty and riches are the offspring of faith.

We must allow the Power to work through us!
In her book 'Your Insivable Power', Genieve Behrend said, "We must not fly in the face of the Law expecting it to do for us what it can only do through us; and we must therefore use our intelligence with the knowledge that it is acting as the instrument of a great intelligence; and because we have thiknowledge we may and should cease from all anxiety as to the final result."
Many people just want good things to happen and want abundance and yet doubt about whether it can happen or worry about the worst happening. This is totally against the Law (or, if you are like me I prefer to replace the word Law with God), we must LET God, let the power, let the Law work through us without being anxious about whether the end result will happen or not!
I think Jesus said it so well when he told us in Mark 11, 24 "For this reason I say to you, Whatever you make a request for in prayer, have faith that it has been given to you, and you will have it."
Note the words "Have faith that it HAS been given to you ... and you WILL have it" Some translations say "If you have faith..." or "If you believe..."
There are conditions of receiving and that is first of all asking, then believing you have it already!!! Interesting isn't it?

The Truth Is Alway The Truth!
I recieved this email recently, I though I would share it with you:
... I just want to thank you and all the others who have contributed to changing millions of peoples lives including mine.
I do not watch the TV programmes unless they give me a good feeling, or read the papers (which I have not done for many years). I believe everything I have experienced and done has bought me to receive what you guys testimonied about. Now all I need to do is believe I am receiving all good now and especially money from others means than earning!!!!
I flipped through the book I received from you and your DVD's and decided I would not listen to them until I believed I could follow what you are offering. So I have not listened to these yet so I do not need any bribe and I definitely do not listen to negativety, someone tried to tell me about it but I changed the conversation. I believed God provides all good things so the other is not from God (or the universe but from bad thinking, blaming ungrateful people).
I just want to thank you again, I am so grateful for the changes you bring in my life. I very much relate to where you were, so if you can remind me of exactly what you did at that time to change your beliefs, confidence, to drive away doubt I would love that.
Thank you once again.
You know just sitting here writing to you and being able to do this, there are thousands of people I am grateful to for providing everything I have to be able to do this.
I have tears in my eyes and feel so good, I know it is love and that is so beautiful.
Thank you

A beautiful story
NEED WASHING?
A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target. She must have been 6 years old - this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout. We all stood there under the awning and just inside the door of the Target.
We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am always mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.
The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in "Mom, let's run through the rain," she said.
"What?" Mom asked.
"Lets run through the rain!" She repeated.
"No, honey. We'll wait until it slows down a bit," Mom replied.
This young child waited about another minute and repeated: "Mom, let's run through the rain."
"We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said.
"No, we won't, Mom. That's not what you said this morning," the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm. This morning? When did I say we could run through the rain and not get wet?
"Don't you remember? When you were talking to Daddy about his cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us through anything!"
The entire crowd stopped dead silent. I swear you couldn't hear anything but the rain. We all stood silently. No one came or left in the next few minutes.
Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say. Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly. Some might even ignore what was said. But this was a moment of affirmation in a young child's life. A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it will bloom into faith.
"Honey, you are absolutely right. Let's run through the rain. If GOD let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing," Mom said. Then off they ran.
We all stood watching, smiling and laughing as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles. They held their shopping bags over their heads just in case. They got soaked. But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children all the way to their cars.
And yes, I did. I ran. I got wet. I needed washing.
Circumstances or people can take away your material possessions, they can take away your money, and they can take away your health. But no one can ever take away your precious memories ... So, don't forget to make time and take the opportunities to make memories everyday.
To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.
I HOPE YOU STILL TAKE THE TIME TO RUN THROUGH THE RAIN. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Slow down and take time to live... Keep in touch with your friends - and don't forget to run in the rain!

Fear
Genevieve Behrend wrote “Fear should be entirely banished from your consciousness in order for you to obtain possession of the things you want.”
Napoleon Hill said that fear is nothing more then a state of mind and that there are 6 basic fears:
- Poverty;
- Criticism;
- Ill health;
- Lost love;
- Old age;
- Death.
Read The Six Ghosts Of Fear in “Think and Grow Rich.” Amazing how we try to disguise our fear!

How To Deal With The 'Down' Times
This morning I spoke with members of my Inner Circle MasterMind group. Two people said that they were finding it difficult to pull themselves out of a slump of negative thinking especially when finances became a challenge.
We are conditioned to think what can go wrong, so when something doesn't work out how we planned or thought it should, if money doesn't show up as quickly as we want, it is so easy for most people to start to think of everything that can go wrong. The more we think of what can go wrong, the more doubt and worry we have, and the greater the fear we feel. It becomes a downward spiral of self-doubt, worry, fear and anxiety. We can even get to the point of feeling so totally overwhelmed that we cannot even force ourselves to think creatively, feel positive or even feel a sense of gratitude. This ultimately leads to hopelessness, depression and even suicide! Sadly, the future can seem so dark and grim that even death seems a better option - it almost certainly leads to the death of dreams and an unhappy, unfulfilled life.
Wallace D Wattles wrote in his book "The Science of Getting Rich" that the hardest activity for a human being is to think the TRUTH regardless of appearances. See, the truth is each one of us has unlimited boundless potential, money is unlimited, health is unlimited, happiness is unlimited, love is unlimited, The universe is unlimited, God is unlimited. What we do is create the limitation by looking at our past or present conditions and circumstances. To move out of any sort of a slump we MUST look to the future and we MUST look at what MUST go right instead of what may go wrong.
If you are experiencing self-doubt, worry, fear, anxiety ... here are a few things you can do:
- Go for a 15 minute brisk walk and overload your mind with positive affirmations about yourself. Say: "I will win. Why? Because I have Faith, Courage and Enthusiasm." or "I was created after the image and likeness of God, therefore all the power that created the universe is also within me, to co-create my world exactly how I want it to be. I feel total abundance flowing to me now!" Talk these aloud ... even shout them out!
- Get VERY clear and specific about how you want your life to look. "Without hope people perish." Whenever we are down it is because we are not clear about what we want in our lives or we are not focused on it. You MUST take time EVERY SINGLE DAY to write out your new life and meditate on it. The more emotion and energy you dedicate to it the more rapidly your life will change.
- Put on some lively music.
- Call a friend who looks at what can go right. We get so buried in our own emotional stuff that we cannot see outside. A person who is not emotionally involved in the situation and supports you and your dreams can be the biggest asset you have.
- Get to work! Just start working on a project or something to take your mind off what could go wrong.
- Take time every day to write out 20 solutions. Do this for 7 days and do not stop each day until you have 20 solutions.
- Listen to a personal development CD every day.
Get hold of my Aussie Born Rich program - I explain in it the complete worry/fear process and how to get out of it. Play it over and over again and watch miracles happen.
Remember: We can focus on the bills or we can focus on abundance, we have the choice!

Think & Grow Rich

Adversity & The Secret
Many people think that because you understand and use The Secret ( or better named 'The Law Of Vibration' which is the foundation of 'The Law Of Attraction') then you are immune from adversity - actually the opposite is true.
Wallace D Wattles in his book "The Science Of Getting Rich" wrote that "All physical and mental science is based on one great law an its seven subsidiary laws which operate in co-ordination with each other." That means if we attempt to explain circumstances using only The Secret we will at best blame the universe or God!!! People say "Oh! I guess I must have been thinking something wrong;" or "I just don't understand, I was doing all the right things."
There is the 'Law of Cause and Effect' (often referred to as sowing and reaping) and the 'Law Of Polarity'. If we want to have more, do more and be more than we already are, then something must change within us. Our thoughts, feelings and actions have got us to were we are now, but they will not serve us to become more then who we are now.
We may not be totally happy and fulfilled with our present situation, but it is comfortable (we know it.) We usually do not seek to make large mental shifts in our conscious thinking until and unless we are faced with enough adversity to make us change.
It's a bit like a large ship at sea ... it sails directly from one port to another except to change course to navigate around a land mass. We keep on going in the same direction, hoping for change but comfortable in our familiarity. It is only when we are faced with huge adversity do we look for another route or direction. Then we look back at the huge challenges we faced and realise that we would not have made the change in direction or changes in our thoughts, feelings and actions had we not had the adversity! It's the adversity that makes us who we are and allows us to enjoy our new found joy, happiness and abundance.
So when you are facing massive adversity, and at times it feels almost unbearable, remember that it is only through adversity that we become who we need to be to reach our goals.
Napoleon Hill in the chapter on Persistence in his book "Think & Grow Rich" wrote it so well when he said that "every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent benefit."
